Discover where some of Hampstead’s most famous residents lived and worked with Blue Badge Guide Julia Male. She leads the first of two different walks through Hampstead Village in search of English Heritage blue plaques and the black oval plaques of the Society. Over the two walks you will find the homes of, amongst others, French war time leader General de Gaulle , first Labour Party Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald, Romantic Painter John Constable and  Society painter George Romney, pioneer for womens’ rights Marie Stopes, the writer of Rebecca: Daphne Du Maurier, and The Forsyte Saga: John Galsworthy, and the architect of St Pancras Station and The Albert Memorial: Sir George Gilbert Scott.

This walk covers the area west of Heath Street.
